Describe the Sample. What I did:

I read The Taming of the Shrew, taking note of lines that described characters, and that were pure word play. I also read a few articles of criticism and developed my own. This is my summary and brief criticism of the play with the notes on character development and word play.

Obstacles, frustrations, or challenges I faced:

When I first read this play, I was at a loss, I couldn't find very much character description or word play. I had to read some criticism to understand it better, I then re-read the play and found what I needed.

Why I am including this as a sample:

What I learned about myself as a result of the experience related to the sample:

I learned more about Shakespeare's language, how he develops characters and I understand the word play, it isn't just pretty wording it means something.  The plot makes more sense and I was able to understand the play better; the overall picture, the individual struggles, misunderstandings, and interweaving plot lines.

What abilities or interests this sample reveals about me:

It reveals my better understanding of the play and what I found to be important.
