Portfolio Summary

What did you learn?

 I learned many new yoga poses, breathing exercises and how to stay active.

My starting goals for my yoga course was to continue doing yoga without a class, to farther my knowledge. I wanted to strengthen and make my body less stressed and more flexible. At first I just did the poses that I had already known and a few new ones I learned from books, but they didn’t seem to be helping me much in getting better at the poses. I was recommended a different book, which had lessons planned out as well as ways that help you know if you are doing the poses correctly, and the lessons had me enthusiastic about doing yoga.

Total hours spent on his project  . Evaluate the effort you made:

 I wasn't putting much effort in at the beginning, but once I found a system that worked for me I made a good effort of learning and meeting my goals. As I went along in my lessons and courses I progressed a great deal in many ways. For one my body was slowly becoming stronger and flexible, and my stress level was down.

How do you feel about your final product?

 Very good, I would like to continue with this into my other years in high school. I find that I feel so much better about my day if I have done yoga, as well as sleeping better.

Did you reach/exceed your plans and goals? Explain.

 Yes I did. My body is slowly but surely becoming all the things I wanted it to be: stronger, more flexible, relaxed and healthier.

How might you apply skills or information beyond this project?

 

In your life as a student?

 Doing yoga makes me feel healthier and I get more rest, which helps me work harder at my schoolwork.

In your life of present or future work?

 I know that I have a way that will keep me going in life, physically and mentally.
